Introduction

Sofie is currently on track for her Bachelor of Music Degree in horn performance under the study of Ann Ellsworth. Attending Lawrence University Conservatory, Sofie will graduate from the institution in 2026. Sofie Began her musical journey at the age of 12 and has loved the collborativeness of music since. 

 

Since Sofie has been based in Appleton, she has been involved with the Lawrence

Community by collaborating and participating with multiple groups including her wind quintet, horn quartet, and extra curricular projects. Sofie is versatile player who loves all genres, styles, and anything that would challenge her.

 

In 2024, Sofie attended Kendall Bett's horn camp where she was able to work with and collaborate with numerous people. In the summer of 2025, she has attended the Prague Summer Nights Program where she toured with an amazing group of people in Tabor, Prague, and Vienna. Outside of Sofie's musical endeavors, she enjoys the outdoors by camping, hiking, and traveling. She is also active in the running community by participating in various races including triathlons.
